We stayed for 2 nights from here Sasan Gir National park is around 7- 8 km. And Devalia Safari Park (Gir Interpretation Zone) is around 10-12 km. This place is not on main road. but Its quite approachable. If you are driving then its more fun.
Rooms are really good & big and comfortable all with facilities
Bathrooms are clean neat maintain.
Restaurant is sufficient space if 100% occupancy then you might need to wait for some time. They serve nice variety in Breakfast and Dinner Veg and Non-Veg they will serve on your table.
Service was good small improvement is possible.
There conduct other activities as well in evening or early morning they will take you for bird watching etc..

We loved our stay at Asiatic Lion Lodge, this lush open resort is welcoming, open and the people running the resort make sure you are welcomed and checked out with a smile. You’ll love to spacious rooms that can hold upto 3 adults comfortably. The food in the Flavours of the Forest is made fresh and so tasty. We enjoyed Kathiyawadi cuisine, cooked in house and loved the delights. Once you have the permit booked from the official website, sit back and relax, they’ll take care of the rest. They have a swimming pool, indoor games are, and outdoor games area. Enjoy your visit to a nearby village on a bullock cart, or just walk with the resort guide in the mango farms. Evenings are for wildlife documentaries, and star gazing. We loved our 3 night stay, and look forward to visiting again.

The most wonderful place in Gir I have ever seen. Surrounded by nature, green farms of wheat, coriander etc. I haven't seen before. Its really so relaxing. Pure, fresh air, which we cannot find in our so called developed cities. Such lush green environment, I have not seen in any other resorts, I have stayed in past in Gir.
The Cordial staff, mouth watering food, activities like cycle ride, nature ride, bird watching, indoor and out door games, lion safaris, etc. makes the holidays with family more special. The tribal dance arranged by the resort at night is must watch.
In our trip to sasan, we also visited kamleshwar dam, Somnath Temple and Junagadh zoo. There is much more. I will visit again to discover other unseen features like kankai mata mandir, Lord Buddha circuits, Junagadh city etc.

Repeat visit to Asiatic Lion Lodge. Like last time, our stay was pleasant and without any hiccups. It was a peaceful weekend and anyone who's fond of wildlife photography can go on a nature treks with a guide and take pictures of wildlife/birds. The food was delicious - we had hot dhoklas, theplas, fresh parathas each morning for breakfast - in addition to an already lavish spread. The service was impeccable. Can't wait to be back!

We stayed at Asiatic Lion Lodge in November 2018. The location is beautiful and with just 16 cottages on the property, we had a very peaceful and relaxing stay.

The location is great just a 5-8 min drive to the Gir National Park reception. The rooms
are good sized, clean and comfortable. The property has a nice eco friendly atmosphere with the farms and orchards around it. Also within the property they have created small nooks under trees with bed swing and chair which make it a great place to spend time.
The best thing about the property is their service. The staff was friendly and eager to make you comfortable and try to meet all your needs. A big shout out to Nikunj, Aman, Ajay and Siddharth who looked after us very well. And trust me we are not an easy lot. Traveling with family we were 6 adults, 1 child and 2 infants and the staff really looked after us very well.
On the cons for the property - the food menu and presentation could use a bit of an upgrade but the taste was good.

We have visited the property in Feb-2015 with my son who came from US for a few days and want that the whole family went on weekend break and find the lodge really rustic and comfy. Food is very good, specially the Veg. Kathiavadi food. Gazebo is the best place for bird watching, we had done bird watching with morning tea. As a small lodge we feel homely and not crowded. Staff is very helpful and service is good. Best part is cleanliness in room and in the Lodge. Camel cart ride is fun. We have sited a lioness with 3 cubs and 2 male lions on our safari.
Bonus is late night Lion roaring very loudly sound.
Over all its a great experience. Highly recommended.

Very quiet and peaceful place. The resort is situated near to club mahindra resort. Sinh sadan is good 15 min. distance. Local transport is not available outside the resort. But, reception people can arrange that for you. It is an eco friendly resort. Food served in restaurant is vegetarian. The buffet breakfast was tasty but with limited options. The staff was very polite and eager to serve you. Swimming pool was small. Small things that make them stand out are like giving free biscuits and tea at 5 a. M. Safari, giving blankets in morning, giving wet cool towels. And welcome drink at the time of arrival. Overall, i had a memorable stay and will recommend others to experience it as well.

A highly recommended stay in Gir. Ambience is good. Beautiful, serene, eco-friendly and close to nature. The staff is very polite and professional. They are just a call.away from any kind of help. It has a restaurant and the food is pretty good. They offer buffet in the booking package. Anybody would fall in love with this place which is so close to nature.
The only con - it's a little away from the town centre, beside Club Mahindra Resort. It is recommended to alight at Sinh Sadan, Sasan and take an auto (200/-). For self driven vehicles you need to take the right at Rayka Dhaba and follow the road for almost 7-8 Kms.

We have been to Gir a few times, but mostly during early or late winter. This time it was mainly to introduce my son to mango( his favorite fruit) orchards. Anyways, Asiatic Lion Lodge is a small, but a complete resort, with all facilities. Rooms are large, well-lit and clean. Pool is small, but resort has just 16 rooms, so it's adequate. Staff is very polite and welcoming, and will go the extra mile to help you in any way needed. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner all, and all 3 were good. Kathiyawadi dinner was probably the best of 3. Their staff member Mr. Nikunj took us to a tour at at mango orchard, and we loved the walk and we even purchased hand picked mangoes from there, the next day. Overall it's a wonderful place with best staff members. Will surely visit again, now in monsoon, as suggested by their front end manager Mr. Ravi Kant.

Great serene & luxury resort near the Gir National Park
Pros – Very beautiful & serene location; Surrounded by forest/ dense-green; Great service/ staff; Each resort unit is very well designed aligning with the surrounding nature; The rooms are large and decently luxurious; The food is homely and awesome; Very close to Gir National Park main entry gate/ booking center (~8 km)
Cons – Terrible approach road (~5 km); Limited activities (and small area) on the resort campus vis-à-vis the price (though it's quite beautiful)
Note - The approach road, the road from the main road, of five km might take around 20-30 min for every trip outside the resort

It's a beautiful property nestled amidst nature, roughly 10min drive from the safari pickup point which is a huge bonus. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. Five stars for the staff !! Staff is extremely respectful , courteous and helpful. They are very receptive to feedback. On one instance we were not happy with the quality of cold coffee served and shared our feedback with them. They took it positively in their stride and never did we have to complain about it or anything throughout our stay. Food is decent, not a large spread, limited but good items considering it is a jungle safari base resort. I would highly recommend this place in case you are visiting Gir!

Most memorable trip we ever had in India.
Spacious rooms, luxurious toiletries, very delicious and less oily / less spicy food perfect for our group of 8 NRI friends.
Staff is very friendly and hospitable. They take extreme care for our comforts and prepared food of our choice.
For final cricket match they arranged projector screen for extra fun. Our victory spiced up with the snacks they served during match.
Resort is right in the middle of forest so we saw few peacocks and deer too. Resort is surrounded by mango trees.
The owner and managers helped us booking jeeps for safari and Pooja at Somnath temple too. They arranged Toyota Innova for airport pick up drop and Somnath sightseeing. We enjoyed a lot and the level of our contentment is beyond our expectations.
We will certainly keep staying here only for all of our future trips to Sasan Gir

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Asiatic Lion Lodge, and it was an absolutely amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable.
The resort itself is stunning—beautifully maintained . Our room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
One of the highlights was the exceptional service. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to help. Whether it was assisting with excursions or offering personalized recommendations, their attention to detail truly made a difference.
The food was another standout! Every meal we had was delicious, with a great variety of options catering to different tastes.
If you’re looking for a peaceful and luxurious escape, I highly recommend to stay in this resort .

We stayed at the Asiatic Lodge between Mar 5 and Mar 8 2025 while we did the Gir Lion Safari and a visit to Somnath.
This is a quaint little resort with just around 20 odd rooms but is self sufficient in every way. If you are looking for a quiet place that makes you relax and feel welcome this is the place to be.
You will find tasty Indian buffet breakfast options. For the main meals either you would have a buffet option or an Ala carte. The Ala carte menu options while might appear limited are very tasty and prepared fresh.
The charpais laid out - is wonderful to rest in the nights and star gaze.
The kids can cycle, play basketball, badminton, football etc in the small gardens. There is a small pool and play area with swings also.
The resort offers options of paid star gazing, bird watching with a naturalist etc.
Echoing my sentiments is a 9 year olds independent review of the resort that will depict the warmth he experienced.

An incredible escape into the wild…!
This resort perfectly captures the spirit of Sasan Gir. The property is lush and well-maintained, making us feel like we’re right in the heart of the jungle. We loved the outdoor seating areas. A must-visit for anyone looking for peace and nature.
What stood out most was the warm Gujarati hospitality. The food was absolutely delicious—especially the Methi Gota they served for breakfast. After a long, dusty safari, coming back to such a clean, comfortable room and a refreshing pool was heaven. Every staff member went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable.

We stayed at Asiatic lion lodge for four nights at the mid October 2025 to celebrate Diwali, and it was such a special experience. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel incredibly welcome with smiles. The lodge feels exclusive beautifully designed, spotless, and wonderfully peaceful.
Check-in was smooth, and we appreciate the manager,Every member of the team was kind, attentive, and genuinely cared about making our stay perfect.
Our suite was spacious and elegant, with 24-hour hot water. We were amazed at how clean it was not a single insect inside, which is remarkable considering the wild surroundings.
The food throughout was very good, Overall, Asiatic lion lodge offers a warm, personal, and memorable stay. We left feeling relaxed, celebrated, and grateful a truly wonderful experience.
We will definitely coming back soon and will recommend to our family and friends as well, 10/10 rating is not enough.

Our recent stay at Asiatic Lion Lodge, Gir, was truly exceptional! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality and services provided were outstanding. The rooms were clean, spacious, and beautifully designed, offering a perfect blend of comfort and nature. Being surrounded by lush greenery and wildlife added to the serene experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and the thoughtful gesture of serving tea at 5:30 AM before our safari was greatly appreciated. Special thanks to GM Nikunj for his warm and welcoming nature, and to Amaan and Kailash at the restaurant for their prompt and impeccable service. This lodge truly stands out as the best resort in Gir for its attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.
However, one small area for improvement would be cleaning the pond at the back of the resort to enhance the overall ambiance.

Absolutely loved it. For one thing, it's around 6KM away from the town, hence its very calm and peaceful. The rooms are spread out in a beautiful fashion. Kids would have a lot of fun exploring the place. The have a small play area and some game facilities including badminton, table tennis etc. They have a pool but it is very small but you could fancy a visit if you are an enthusiast. The restaurant serves really tasty food and all the staff were very friendly and professional. Overall a very pleasurable experience and highly recommended.
